NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR:

The story of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is one of forgiveness and redemption. The beauty of this story is that in the telling of it an amazing amount of creativity that can be displayed on stage by the actors, in the sets, and by the technical crew. To put together a high quality performance of this particular show requires a great many skilled people and it reminds me of Joseph's amazing technicolor dreamcoat, separately the pieces are nice but when woven together the total is MUCH greater than the sum of the parts. I am fortunate to have those parts (people) at my disposal. Lights and sound, pit orchestra, set design/construction/painting, costumes, and actors all need to come together in a show that requires more energy than most we have dealt with and they all need to mesh in order for the show to be successful. Even with mother nature throwing us a curve ball with the weather this year we are once again pleased to bring a new and wonderful show to the Volm stage: a show with bright colors, a variety of musical styles, and a wonderfully balanced cast. So please sit back and join with us on this fantastic journey with Joseph and his coat of many colors.
